 Andrew Ballard
The Venerable Andrew Ballard
Andrew Ballard was a Manchester Ordinand but was ordained in London. His title parish was just up from Marble Arch in the West End and it was there that he met his wife Caroline and they married in Ashtead, Surrey in 1970. They have three grown up children: Paul who works for a computer software company: Charlotte who is a lawyer and Emily who after working in theatre for some years now teaches drama in Scotland.
Andrew worked in Portsmouth and Blackburn Dioceses before returning to Manchester in 1982. Having been a parish priest for most of his ministry he very much enjoys being part of the life of the Cathedral and finds it an invaluable spiritual base.
Music is important to Andrew; he is a keen amateur organist, though he says he has insufficient time to practise!
