Finding God in the Detail
Andy Leigh, Artist in Residence at Manchester Airport has been working with children from five Wythenshawe schools. The children visited the Cathedral and made their own artistic response. The artwork is on display in the Wythenshawe Art Walk (located in Terminal 3) .

Local Legends and Sacred Spaces –Cathedral on Tour 2013
From April to November 2013, Manchester Cathedral will be in the care of building contractors whilst we undertake important renovation work. The Education Department are delighted to announce that this will not stop us engaging pupils in exciting learning experiences outside of the classroom.
School groups are invited to come and discover the stories behind the church on their doorstep as we take our trails and workshops on tour to five unique parish churches of the diocese:
St Ann’s, City Centre - Mondays, Easter to November 2013
Rochdale Parish Church - April 15 to May 15 2013
Ashton Parish Church - May 20 to June 19 2013
St Mary’s, Prestwich - June 24 to July 24 2013
Bolton Parish Church - Sept 30 to Oct 23 2013

Education Department
The Education Department had a busy spring term, delivering 50 educational events for schools and colleges. We always enjoy seeing follow-up work that has been inspired by a Cathedral visit – please do send us photos for our newsletter and displays!
