Spirituality
Manchester Cathedral draws together an wide range of people representing many kinds of spirituality; liberal and orthodox Catholic, evangelical, middle-church, etc.
We recognise that a personal choice of spirituality is often linked to their personality and we aim to offer a wide range of activity to help all kinds to find God. In 2011 the Cathedral will host ‘Spirit of Life’, a Christian equivalent of a Mind, Body, Spirit fair to reach out into such cultures. This is a significant event in mission for the Cathedral.
We also are the home for a small group of young adults who have been meeting at the Cathedral to explore creativity, mission, community. We hope the Cathedral will be the home of progressive experiment in mission and community and will develop Fresh Expressions of church. We have used the course Mission-Shaped Intro as a catalyst for this.
