Special prayers at Evensong in honour of Queen Elizabeth II

In honour of Queen Elizabeth II who today becomes the longest reigning monarch in British history, special prayers will be said during Evensong at 5.30pm. The service will end with the National Anthem.

To mark the occasion, at approximately 8pm, the Cathedral bell ringers will attempt to ring a quarter peal using the eight largest bells.
