The new Bishop of Manchester

The new Bishop of Manchester

From the Dean...

On behalf of the Cathedral Chapter I am most pleased to welcome Bishop David Walker as the new Bishop of Manchester.

Bishop David grew up and was educated in Manchester and we are very pleased that he has come back to his roots. I have worked with the Bishop on one of the national Church of England committees and have valued his leadership. He has a passion for affirming and celebrating our diverse society and will no doubt continue to work for a diverse Church of England.

We wish him and his wife Sue every blessing as they prepare for this new phase in ministry.
