Redcrosse: A Celebration of St. George

Because St. George’s Day this year falls on Easter Saturday, our special ‘Redcrosse: Celebration of St. George’ is transferred to Sunday 8 May 2011. The service at 5.30pm will include new poetry by some distinguished writers, including the ex-poet laureate Andrew Motion, the Costa Prize winner Jo Shapcott and Professor Michael Symmons Roberts. There will also be a specially written classical / jazz setting by Tim Garland. And our new processional ‘giants’ will be blessed.
