Cathedral Administrator
Peter Mellor administrator@manchestercathedral.org
Peter Mellor was appointed Cathedral Administrator in June 2009.
Peter trained originally as a chef and worked at Gleneagles and the Dorchester in London before returning to college to study for a degree in Hotel Management. After a number of years managing and opening new hotels for clients, he started his own business and ran three restaurants in the Holme Valley (Holmfirth) where he lives.
Peter started work at the Cathedral and managed the opening the Visitor Centre in 2001.
Peter is a keen walker and cyclist.
Dean's PA
Alison Rowland alison.rowland@manchestercathedral.org
Alison was appointed PA to The Dean in January 2008. Originally from Newcastle upon Tyne, Alison attended Lancaster University. With a degree in Visual Art under her belt, she then worked for Lancaster and Morecambe Newspapers for 13 years, was promoted to Chief Sub-editor and attained NVQ (Level 4) in Production Journalism.
After a four-year stint in medical book publishing and recent work for CGP Books and Express Newspapers, Alison has now relocated to Derbyshire. She was on the PCC at St Christopher's Church in Morecambe for nine years and her hobbies include cinema, concerts and riding pillion on husband Scott's Ducati Multistrada motorbike.
Cathedral Administrative Secretary

Joanne has worked at the Cathedral since 1997 after leaving school. She was appointed Office Junior and underwent an Apprenticeship sponsored by the Cathedral and achieved her Level 3 NVQ.
Junior Office Assistant

Jade was appointed Junior Office Assistant in Ferbruary 2012. Whilst at the Cathedral, Jade will be working towards her NVQ.
In her spare time Jade enjoys socialising with friends and going to the cinema.
Finance Assistant

Joanne was appointed Finance Assistant in February 2009.
