Anthony was born in Leicester, December 1963. After leaving school, he undertook an apprenticeship in Graphic Art & Design. Shortly after this, he left for the United States, gaining employment with a Boston based company undertaking Design and Marketing. Early 1988, he returned to the UK and moved to London and joined the Civil Service. During this time, he was elected to the National Executive Committee of the largest Civil Service Trade Union and was a member for five years of the General Council for the Council of Civil Service Unions. He travelled extensively in the UK and Continental Europe and met his Partner while on Civil Service business in Manchester. In 1994 he moved from London to Manchester and settled into a new home in the south of the city.
